Shop Rate Remover

Rate Remover Software was designed by Scott Gibbens, a small business owner from Upstate, NY. Scott has been in the payment processing industry since 2011 and needed a compliant solution for his repair shop clients.

While searching for auto repair shop software, Scott came across all of the well known and respected names in the auto repair industry. Unfortunately, they did not offer a compliant solution for small business owners to remove their card processing fees.

Many of the shop software programs offered a way to add a line item fee or surcharge, but this is not compliant in NYS and several other states. New laws require businesses to show a customer both card price and cash price on the estimate for auto repair. Scott decided to hire his own developer and create the software himself.

Rate Remover Software went live in February of 2024 with a small number of BETA test users. Our goal is to offer a simple solution for small to medium size auto repair shops. At the present time, Rate Remover Software is perfect for any repair shop with 4 bays or less. Larger repair shops may require more sophisticated software like Mitchell1 or NAPA Tracks.

Rate Remover Software also has a version for general businesses as well. Industries such as landscaping, pest control, carpet cleaning, and any business that creates an invoice/estimate can benefit from our software.
